Upendra blockbuster film “A”, starring Upendra and Chandini, broke records in its rerelease in Karnataka three weeks ago. Fans thronged to theatres at 6:30 in the morning, reminiscent of its original release, surprising the business circles. Given its fantastic success in Telugu many years ago, Telugu fans were equally excited about Upendra and Chandini.
Distributor Lingam Yadav took great efforts to remaster the Telugu version in 4K and update the Dolby sound, making it a visually and audibly stunning experience. The film was released yesterday in theatres across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The celebrity and press show held yesterday was filled with excitement, with whistles and claps at each dialogue delivered by Upendra and Chandini. Notable guests included BJP leader Ramchander Rao and IT and Aerospace stalwart Sudhakar Gande, who watched the film for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Highlight of the Event:
The highlight of the evening was the presence of the heroine, Chandini Sasha, whose performance brought tears to the viewers. She shared some of her beautiful experiences from the film, which enthralled the audience.
Chandini happily obliged fans wanting to take pictures and reminisced about the film. She said, “It was my first film after school, so it will always be special. I thank Upendra for his belief in me, even without seeing me, based only on his intuition from seeing my pictures from a beauty pageant when I was in the USA.”
Distributor’s Remarks:
Lingam Yadav, the distributor, expressed his happiness with the response to the film’s rerelease. He said, “We are thrilled with the reception. Bringing this timeless love story back to the big screen in 4K has been a rewarding experience.”
Upendra’s Message:
Upendra, who was in Hyderabad last week to share his experiences of “A,” sent his wishes for the release as he was busy with his much-awaited project “UI,” marking his next directorial venture.
The show last evening brought back memories of Upendra’s directorial magic, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.
