Telugu Association in Poland Celebrates Ugadi with Cultural Extravaganza
Poland Telugu Association (PoTA) celebrated the Telugu New Year, also known as Ugadi, and their inaugural annual festival with grandeur in Warsaw, the capital city of Poland. The event, held under the auspices of Sri Krothi Nama Samvatsara, saw a vibrant blend of Telugu culture and tradition, infusing the Polish Museum with the essence of Telugu festivities.
The event witnessed the presence of esteemed guests, including Indian Ambassador Mrs. Naghma Malik, members of the European Parliament, and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. PoTA extended warm hospitality to Telugu travelers from Poland’s roots, making the celebrations inclusive and welcoming.
Cultural performances, including a mesmerizing Telugu play enacted by children and solo acts portraying iconic Telugu literary figures, captivated the audience. President Chandra Bhanu, in his address, expressed gratitude towards the participants and highlighted the significance of preserving and promoting Telugu language and culture.
Distinguished speakers, Vishwa Shanthi Gadeppalli and Anuradha Srinadha, added intellectual depth to the event with their insightful commentary. Little India Poland and Poland Brands collaborated to sponsor the festivities, enhancing the event’s grandeur and making it a resounding success.
The highlight of the evening was a live musical concert featuring renowned playback singers Prithvi Chandra, Saketh Komanduri, and Manisha Irabattuni, accompanied by their band Ichhipad. Their enthralling performance left the audience spellbound, celebrating the rich musical heritage of Telugu.
The success of the event was attributed to key members of PoTA, including Shashi Katragadda, Sridevi, Rajyalakshmi Dhoomanth Rao, Asha Perumalla, Sandeep Srinadha, Suresh Perumalla, Babiraju Dhoomanth Rao, Shailendra Gangu, Praveen Velugolu, Ram Satish Reddy, Subbiram Reddy Gundreddy, Kiranmayi, Sahiti, Bhavani, and dedicated volunteers.
