In a recent press meet held at the Hyderabad Film Chamber, producer SK Basheed shared exciting updates about his upcoming film and political journey.
Journey in the Film Industry: Starting his career in the Telugu film industry with the movie “Allare Allari” in 2007, starring Allari Naresh and Venu, SK Basheed has produced several films since then. He revealed that he is currently preparing for a new film directed by Suresh Krishna, with a story by Vijayendra Prasad, featuring Anushka and Vijayashanti in lead roles. Although discussions with the stars are yet to take place, Basheed is optimistic about the project, with music composed by AR Rahman. One song has already been composed.
Political Journey: Transitioning into politics under the leadership of YS Sharmila in the Andhra Pradesh Congress Party, SK Basheed shared his experiences and challenges. He was given a ticket by the party to contest as the Rajampet Parliamentary candidate. However, his campaign in Rajampet faced obstacles from BJP leaders and former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, who allegedly caused disruptions and even abducted his followers. Complaints have been lodged with the Collector, and an investigation is ongoing.
Confidence in Success: Despite these challenges, SK Basheed remains confident about his victory as an MP, having received positive feedback from the public during his brief campaign. He is determined to uphold the trust placed in him by the Congress Party and the local people, believing that justice will prevail in the courts against the IT notices and the seizure of ₹150 crore imposed on him.
Basheed concluded with a strong conviction to win the Rajampet seat and serve the people, overcoming any conspiracies against him.
